Our North of North America trip began with a flight into Calgary and a late-night drive to the Lake Louise area. The following morning we woke up and traveled south to the Town of Banff. On the way, we stopped at Johnston Canyon, a touristy but beautiful hike through a canyon. The canyon follows the swift current of a river, which is accented with two beautiful waterfalls, the Upper and Lower Falls. From Johnston Canyon we ventured the rest of the distance to the Town of Banff, which is a beautiful area situated comfortably between a string of mountain ranges. Some highlights of the Town were the beautiful buildings, lodge-like architecture, and the overlook.
